Welcome to this PICS UNITED site. These are the terms and conditions that you must follow when using use our site and picture library. By using our site and picture library you declare acceptance of these terms and conditions.
All images in in our online picturelibrary are copyright to PICS UNITED or its associate photographers.
You may download images for review purposes only. For this purpose, you have the right to use the image(s) in comps, layouts, draft designs and storyboards for your in-house presentation and/or presentations to your clients. For all other uses, you must contact PICS UNITED.
You may not publish, reproduce, place on either an electronic bulletin board, corporate intranet or the Internet, license, sell or otherwise distribute the image(s) without a License to do so from PICS UNITED.
You may not manipulate or adapt the image(s) so as to make it materially different to the original, without prior written permission from PICS UNITED.
You may not use the image(s) in any way that might be deemed defamatory, libelous, pornographic, obscene or immoral.
PICS UNITED does not offer any license in respect of use of likenesses, names or trademarks depicted in the image(s). It is your responsibility to ensure that all necessary clearances are obtained, and not that of PICS UNITED.
Ownership of Our Site
This site is owned and operated by PICS UNITED (referred to as "we" and "our"). All content included on our site, such as photographs, illustrations, images, text, audio clips, video clips, and software (referred to as "Content") is owned by PICS UNITED or our Content providers. All Content is protected by Dutch and international copyright laws. (photographic works as referred to in the 1912 Dutch Copyright Act, or other works in the sense of the 1912 Dutch Copyright Act which can be equated with the said photographic works.) For the protection of PICS UNITED and our Content providers, images may be watermarked and/or digitally watermarked.
Your Use of the Content
With respect to the "Pics United Card" functionality available through the Pics United Card Gallery, the provisions of this paragraph apply. You may use this for your personal, noncommercial use. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations when using the Pics United Card Gallery. You may not use the Pics United Card Gallery to send any cards for chain letters, commercial solicitation, mass mailing, or any form of spam or other mass mailings. You are solely responsible for the content of any messages included on cards you send via the Pics United Card Gallery. You may not use the Pics United Card Gallery to send messages thatare illegal, obscene, threatening, abusive, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, profane, defamatory, or that infringe upon or violate the rights of any third party. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold Pics United and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless against any and all claims asserted against Pics United and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents as a result of your use of the Pics United Card Gallery, including without limitation any claims relating to the content of any messages that you send using the Pics United Card Gallery. You may use the Content of the Pics United site for your personal, noncommercial home use only. This means that you may view, browse through, and listen to the Content on your computer. Excepting these limited uses, you may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, or otherwise exploit the content in any way. In particular, you may not include the Content in any other publication or product, or on any other Web site or computer network. Personal Information
To become a client of PICS UNITED, you must provide some basic contact information. PICS UNITED uses this information for internal purposes (to process your order, to maintain or update your Pics United-account, or to send you updates about special offers, new services, special promotions, and noteworthy news and events). Pics United does not sell or rent information about its customers to third parties. Additionally, PICS UNITED offers its clients the choice not to receive e-mails or updates about special benefits, promotions, or offers from PICS UNITED. If you do not wish to receive these updates, please send an e-mail to sales@pics-united.com Your personal information in the registration form is used by PICS UNITED to provide services on the Pics United Picture Library. PICS UNITED may also compile data in aggregate form so that we may better understand the users that are visiting our Picture Library. For example, we may produce reports on the most popular search terms by collecting general search term data based on individual searches. Aggregate data is anonymous and does not contain any personal information that identifies a user.
Change of Address or Contact Information
If your e-mail address or contact information has changed or is incorrect, you may update or correct this information by sending your information to sales@pics-united.com, or by faxing +31 (0)40 248 47 43 to the attention of the Sales Department.
Security
PICS UNITED has a number of technological and operational security functions in place to protect the confidentiality of personal information. However, perfect security on the Internet does not exist.
Cookies
When you visit the PICS UNITED website and enter the Pics United Picture Library, PICS UNITED may send your computer a "cookie," a small file that resides on your computer's hard drive. Cookies allow PICS UNITED to make its Web site more useful to you by storing information about your preferences. For example, if you personalize your image display preferences, PICS UNITED will send your computer a cookie that identifies your preferences. Cookies do not identify an Internet user, although they do identify a user's computer. You can set your browser's option not to accept cookies, though if you do, you may not be able to access all of the features of the Pics United website and Picture Library.
PICS UNITED does not rent or sell e-mail lists. PICS UNITED may send you e-mail to notify you about special offers, new services, special promotions, and noteworthy news and events; this will be sent to the e-mail address you provide to PICS UNITED. If you no longer wish to receive these updates or you wish to unsubscribe from Pics United's Picture Library acces, e-mail sales or call +31(0)40 296 28 00.
